The Berlin Wall was built to prevent people from getting from east Berlin to west Berlin.

1. Does the event demonstrate the hand of Providence in history? Yes God helped the people inside east Berlin survive without their jobs, family members etc.

2. How did the event help shape the world and culture we live in today? People should or do remember what happened during those 28 years people were killed and know we know what happens if people are heavily confined and controlled by the government.

3.Did the event affect families? yes when it was made illegal by the government to go into west Berlin many families were separated and jobs were lost. fathers who had jobs in east Berlin were trapped there until they could escape somehow.

4.How did the event contribute to the expansion or contraction of liberty? people were trapped inside that wall for a very long time just imagine being stuck behind walls for 28 years.

5.Does the event show opposition to God’s plan? yes it seems like Satan wants to control us the same way the USSR wanted to control east Berlin.
