French/Indian War (1 mayo 1754 año – 10 feb 1763 año)

Known also as the Seven Years' War, the French and Indian War was a clash of powers between England and France over colonies. France dominated early on because of their superior resources, but England's William Pitt took a personal interest in 1757 and poured funds into the war. Both sides recruited Native American tribes to fight with them. This was also George Washington's militaristic debut. Spain joined France's side before Britain won, so Britain ended up with France's Canadian land and Spain's land in Florida.
