Like the Opium wars there were 2 Boer warsThe first "First Freedom War" was fought from 1880-1881 was fought by the United Kingdoms and African republic this war resulted in the second independence for Africa and the United kingdoms being defeated
The second Boer war was fought by two Boer states (the African republic, and Orange free state) vs the British during the fight the initial assaults from the Boer states were very successful the British reinforcements reversed this war dragged on with Boers using Guerrilla warfare for years until the British used very brutal brought them down the British took over Africa with pure strength the British quickly seized control of all of the Orange Free State and Transvaal.
