Battle of Antietam (17 sept 1862 año – 17 sept 1862 año)

Lee invades the North and goes into Maryland. He meets up with McClellan's army along Antietam creek on September 17, 1862. This battle became the bloodiest single day battle in U.S. history. Both sides lost thousands of men, but the Union were considered a victory. This was because they had stopped Robert E. Lee from advancing further North, pushing him back to the South.
