Descripción:
The time period in which South Carolina and retired Vice President John C. Calhoun argued for states' rights to "nullify" federal laws which would significantly weaken the Federal Government. This lasts until Andrew Jackson passes the "Force Bill" and threatens to send the Marines into Charleston and a compromise Tariff is passed in 1833.
