Warring States Period of Japan (1 ene 1467 año – 4 agos 1590 año)
Descripción:
In the years since Japan came under the military rule of the shogunate, the country had slowly fractured into various provinces controlled by warlords. At the same time, trade and agriculture boomed due to trading with China; this meant that the Japanese lords developed a hunger for more land as commer-cial cities developed. It was in these turbulent times when a controversy arose on who would be the next shogun; and as a result, two provinces fought it out in what's known as the Ōnin War. This civil conflict then spiralled out into all of Japan; and from 1467, all twenty-one provinces waged war on each other in an attempt to become the next shogun. Historians refer to this time as the "Sengoku period", meaning "Age of Warring States".
