Henry the Navigator (4 mar 1394 año – 13 nov 1460 año)
Descripción:
Henry the Navigator, the Prince of Portugal, was the son of King John I . The capture of the Moroccan City of Ceuta in 14 15 was what sparked Henry's career. He sponsored many of the early European voyages in order to conquer new lands and overcome the Islamic Empire. Though he was not a sailor or a navigator, he was still called the navigator because he encouraged many of the early expeditions. He was also inventing the caravel, as well as the astrolabe, which were key technologies that made European exploration successful.
