Leon Battista Alberti was born in Genoa, Italy. He was an architect and humanist who adopted the Renaissance art theory. The Renaissance art theory contained paintings, sculptures, architecture, and music made at the time that was influenced by the awareness of nature, a revival of classical learning, and a more individualistic view of man.
