Magnetophon was the brand/model name of the reel-to-reel tape recorder developed the staff of the German electronics company AEG in the 1930s. It was based on the magnetic tape invention by Fritz Pfleumer. AEG made the world's first practical tape recorder named the K1 it was first demonstrated in Germany in 1935 at the Berlin Radio Show.
