The Cold War was a time of conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States. This began after WWII. This war was called 'Cold' because there was no nuclear weapons used against the two countries. The Soviet Union and the United States were always trying to outdo each other. Some people considered the end of the war was when the USSR became Russia.
