The Age of Discovery is a time when much oversees exploration took place. Its when European countries began claiming different trade routes and lands. Most land claimed were in the america's (new world) do to its discovery by Christopher Columbus. There was also great advancement in the navigational technology, ship building, and knowledge of world geography. This age created a new period of global interaction and European colonization which would increase over several centuries.
