Descripción:

The Cold War was a period of tension between the U. S. and Russia and there respective allies. Both sides were discouraged from attacking each-other because of the doctrine of mutually assured destruction (MAD). This war was more physiological. It was mostly things like: propaganda campaigns, espionage, far-reaching embargoes, rivalry at sports events and technological competitions such as the Space Race. The Cold War finally ended with the dissolution of the USSR and with the U. S. becoming the new world superpower (it having military alliances with 50 countries and 526,000 troops stationed abroad).
