World War 2 (1 sept 1939 año – 2 sept 1945 año)

From the 1st of September 1939 to the 2nd of September 1945 many of the world’s countries were at war. There were two opposing alliances the Allies and the Axis. They fought for six years resulting in 80 million people dying. Countries were bombed, people were shot, homes were demolished. Families lost everything. On September 1st 1939 Hitler invaded Poland, very soon after the invasion Britain and France declared war against Germany. While many countries became involved Switzerland observed and minded their own business. Many countries were invaded like Denmark and Norway. It took many, many years for these countries to recover. 6 years later when World War 2 had finished many people say that the allies won.
