Phase I (Inferno): Late October 2017 - January 2nd 2018
Team Inferno was founded by a player named Rustbound in late 2017. Inferno grew slowly mainly recruiting new 2b2t players. Notable players who were friends of Retronautx (current leader) joined the group also, including IHackedWalmart, Killet, and Metrez. After a few months, Inferno continued its growth, but a conflict occurred with Rustbound which caused him to leave Inferno and left the group with player Retronautx in control. A player by the name of I_Love_Autism (ex inferno member) was responsible for the original Inferno HQ 's destruction. In early December 2017, a Cold war between Inferno and their formally allied group, The Church Of Eden, broke out; However, this war was resolved approximately one week later. There were no battles fought. After this, Inferno continued recruiting members, causing rapid population growth which led to issues down the road. Tensions between the emperium and VoCo heightened after Inferno allied with VoCo. Inferno claimed the valley of wheat 2 as a spawn base, but it was griefed approximately one or two weeks after this. Signs were left at the valley of wheat stating that VoCo griefed it, but this was proven to be false. On January 2nd 2018, four of Inferno's bases were griefed due to an insider for the emperium, known as Racewizard. This caused reform in Inferno, with Retronautx banning both Racewizard and thejumpyblazeftw from the team because of their ties to the emperium. Inferno transitioned into phase II and changed its name to Infrared.

Phase II (Infrared): January 2nd 2018 - Present
Infrared got a lot of media attention in 2b because of the griefing. Infrared resented the Emperium for griefing the headquarters along with other bases such as Paragon. Infrared was invited to join the United Group Embassy by Emperium, and Retronautx managed to get coordinates to the Embassy base. IHackedWalmart griefed the embassy, which gave him lots of negative attention. The UGE now hated Infrared even more for griefing their base. Metrez betrayed Infrared for the UGE and Emperium during this time also, warning the UGE of the grief. Highland and Infrared are now allies due to a common enemy. Infrared is now a rebellion of sorts against the UGE and Emperium as the two sides continue to fight. The Alpha Alliance was formed (around late February 2018) between Infrared, PK, and Highland to rival the United Group Embassy.
