Physiocrat who saw the laws of nature, the natural economy and France is in a system where there are blockages which need to be removed to restore the natural economy where wealth is natural. Wanted to get away from merchants and bankers who threaten and corrupt politicians and take their wealth out of the state if the state does not venerate them. He said that those that have a stake in the soil should have more of a voice in the system.

Newtonian physics hover over Europe, natural universal laws that govern the state of nature. Quesnay wants to find out if these things could be applicable to human society. So he tries to figure out these basic block of civilization, surviving and reproducing. He through that the natural order and the wealth it brought was represented best in agriculture.

The farmers - the wealth makers
The land owners - aristocrats, clergy, king
Manufacturers - merchants, craftsmen, sterile/barren class (What they do is not vital for the production of agriculture)
