Descripción:
Malcolm X: Was part of the nation of Islam but eventually split from the organization and started a more main-stream movement. The eyes of the nation were on him after his trip to Hajj. He was an outspoken civil rights activist but was demonized by the media because he was critical of the inequities in society (blacks and whites, rich and poor) many of which are common sense today.
Muhammid Ali: Was the boxing world heavyweight champion. he embarrassed Islam at a young age and became notorious when he refused the draft to go fight in Vietnam. He claimed that it was against his faith to fight in an unjust war, and for it, he was stripped of his title.
Elijah Muhammid: was the founder of the Nation of Islam, which was mainly for African American Muslims. His version and area of Islam were rather controversial but made large impact on the Islamic community.
