Descripción:

This battle is about the Japanese forces and the US on the largest Ryukyu island fighting. Okinawa would be considered as the largest amphibious landing in the Pacific theater. The results of the Battle of Okinawa was over 100,000 Japanese casualties (and 50,000 for the Allies). Capturing Okinawa was apart of a three-point plan that the Americans had for a victory for a war in the Far East (thus, making this event one of the major battles in World War 2).
