Descripción:

Germany decided to bomb RAF (the Royal Air Force, which is located in Britain), which was apart of the process of invading Britain. Of course, Britain was fighting back (and this went on for over 3 months). There are a few reasons why this event was significant. It's because the Battle of Britain had marked the first defeat of Hitler's military forces, it was the first major campaign fought on air forces, as well as the Battle of Britain being the most sustained and largest aerial bombing campaign to that date.
