Ran for election in 1960 as a Democrat against Nixon with his vice president being Lyndon Johnson. He was a catholic and was the youngest elected president at the age of 43.
His administration was known as the new frontier. Kennedy was assassinated on November 1,1963 in Dallas Texas by Lee Harvey Oswald.
