The losses and damages of World War I were terrible and as years went by it seemed as if the world was never going to be at peace so the public demanded some type of method to prevent the suffering and destruction. The league of nations was a international organisation founded after the paris peace conference in 1919. The league's goal was to prevent war through security, settling war between countries through negotiation diplomacy and improving global welfare. The league failed to prevent another world war. The league lasted for 26 years. The United Nations replaced it after the end of the second World War and receive several agencies and organisations found by the league.
