The Beer Hall Putsch was when Adolf Hitler and Erich Ludendorff attempted to start an uprising in Germany against the Weimar Republic. Hitler thought that this would ensure his lead in power, this did work in the future as he did rule Germany. After Hitler’s attempt at taking over the government, in Bavaria, he ended up getting away and hid in his friend’s house for a while until he was found and then was sentenced 5 years in prison for high treason.
