Interaction - Ibn Battuta was the best known of Muslim travelers. He traveled mostly to lands ruled by Islamic rulers, and he was able to find government positions easily because there were not many educated Muslims. Ibn Battuta struggled to promote the proper traditions of Islam, only to fail.
