Emperor Diocletian’s empire becomes too large to rule from Rome. The Roman Empire divides
into Eastern and Western halves.

While the Roman Empire is as strong as iron, covering much of the known world, it is prone to corruption (like rust). Most of its Emperors die violent deaths, often at the hands of their advisors or family.
