Political - The Tang dynasty lasted almost 300 years, and China was organized into a powerful, productive, and prosperous society. The dynasty relied on a bureaucracy based on merit, and the equal-field system was used to organize the allocation of land. Military expansion helped extend Tang authority throughout East Asia. The dynasty came to fall due to careless leadership that led the dynasty into a crisis the dynasty could never recover from.
