After the election of a Marxist leader in mexico the u.s government planned a coup, they did not want to deal with a communist neighbor.a general backed by the american government tried to take power but the soldiers defected and turned against him due to the constitution that stated "the military works for the constitution therefore the people" It blasted as people march off the streets and stopped american tanks on the Constitution Square in front of the National Palace. the american government defected as both nations had nuclear weapons and with a failed attempt the Mexican government declared its intervention in the cold war.
