By the '90s, this ideal body type shifted back to more skinny, waif-like body types. Anorexia Nervosa was associated with the highest rate among all mental disorders during the 1990s. has started to become more exaggerated. During this time obesity has also started to sharply increase; images of obesity got across media screens, and so did images of skinny models. Women began to judge their unique bodies, comparing themselves with models.
