Iraq invades Iran thinking they are weak, also to settle a long lasting land dispute. Iraq dominated for 2 years and then was pushed back for 6 years, many proxy forces were involved and Iraq got a majority of the support. It was a horrific war with many causalities and questionable tactics, eventually the UN brokered a ceasefire which Iran accepted.Añadido al timeline:
