Vasco de Gama Sailed to Calicut in India (1 ene 1497 año – 1 mar 1499 año)

A year after Bartolomeu Dias found the tip of Africa, Vasco de Gama found a water route to India. His voyage took 3 years, and was very successful. Half of his Spices went down in the Cape of Good Hope, yet their profits were still very high. Portugal made three round trips to India. He returned back to Lisbon after about two and a half years.
