The Space Shuttle was a partially-reusable American spacecraft used between the 1980s and 2010s. The fleet consisted of 8 nearly-identical vehicles, although 2 were lost over the course of the programs. The Space Shuttle was the first resuable launch vehicle and the most widely-used until its retirement in 2015, after almost 300 flights.
