When the Israelites escaped from Egypt, they walked for 40 years. During their way they had shortages of food. For some time they had enouph of food, but it didn't last for long. God knew it and helped them. He prepared them Manna from Heaven and water. While they were walking, the Israelites learned new ways of worshipping God.
