Illegitmacy Explosion (1 ene 1750 año – 1 ene 1850 año)
Descripción:
At the start of the 18th century, trends in marriage and sexual pleasure changed. Although premarital sex often occurred between engaged couples, later the fathers often rejected their pregnant girlfriends. so that they could support themselves. As a result, the rate of illegitimate births increased by nearly 20%, but the children who were born illegitimately often were not cared for. When an unwed mother was pregnant, she was cast off from her job and society and forced to work as a prostitute, this greatly effected the amunt of available jobs since no one really protected the woman at work or from sexual pleasure, she could easily be fired and cast off from society.
