Even though Serbia was trying to distance themselves from the tragic event happened a few days ago, since it was not the government who tried to murder, but the Austro-Hungarian empire wanted to revenge Serbia. They wanted to declare war on Serbia with Germany's help, even if it meant the war with Russia. However, the attack was delayed since some people such as the Hungarian prime minister were afraid of Russia.
