Progress: Although some of the workers were deported and jailed, this event caused attention of a royal commission and the law. They started to recognize the workers’ rights. The worker started to get more rate of money by this peaceful protest. The strike created new opportunities for workers, such as political positions. Some of the workers began their political careers after the event.
