Descripción:

Progress: Germany declared war on France, Britain declared war on Germany. As Canada was a colony of Britain, it also declared war on Germany. It was a progress because people thought it's honourable to fight for their country and Canada is fighting for their benefits from Britain. Before the war, Canadians were living on agricultural work. Once the war began, many boys and men volunteered to become soldiers because they could get paid more than in the farms. When men were at war, women got their jobs and they got paid instead of doing housework.
