The Napoleonic Wars we fought between France and the rest of Europe. Napoleon, the leader of France, wanted to rule the world and started by trying to take over Europe. This lead to the Louisiana Purchase and increased tensions between England and France. The increased tensions lead to Napoleon deceiving the US to stop trade with England in exchange for France ending piracy.
