Homo Habilis (1 ene 2000000 año aC – 1 ene 1500000 año aC)

Descripción:

Timeline source 1:

Timeline source 2: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_habilis

Key Facts:
-the ability to make tools
-twice the size of an Australopithecus brain
-the first to eat meat in their diet
-making a tool for them, even a simple one, took thought and effort

Migration Path:
The homo Habilis migration path was just in Africa. Before they could spread out of Africa, the Homo Habilis and the Australopithecus needed to develop physical and mental capabilities that would help them to survive in the harsh environments where food and fresh water weren't as easily accessible. Also they could walk, but not as well built and well-balanced than Homo Erectus or Homo Sapiens Sapiens.

Observation/claim:
Archaeologists found a humanlike foot, and a human-like hand of the Homo Habilis, suggesting the ability to maintain objects with precision.
