King Philip II is assassinated, and Alexander succeeds him.

Alexander reaches Egypt.
Pursued and defeated Darius in the Battle of Gaugamela.
Darius is assassinated by his own retinue; Alexander becomes the ruler of Persia.
Alexander defeats the Indian ruler Porus. After this, his army refuses to continue the conquest, and thus Alexander is forced to march back home.
Alexander the Great dies on the march back home due to an unknown cause.
