Born 9 jun. 2005
Moved from Pakistan to Hoboken, NJ to Franklin, NJ - Erikson Initiative Stage 3
Earliest memory I have - being picked up from preschool by my Grandma
Franklin -> West Windsor, NJ (2010), started elementary school, transitioned to Erikson St.4 with new skills
W. Windsor to Princeton - started 3rd grade. Began to settle into my env. and made new friends, some of whom I’m still friends with today
Met my first long-term friend I still know (Kate) early into 3rd grade
Met my music teacher, started learning harmonium (2012) - I found my dad's harmonium in the closet and tried to play which sparked my interest
Did my first harmonium performance (2013?) - Mehdi Hassan's Pakistani patriotic song "Yeh Watan Tumhaara Hai"
Entered middle school, entered Erikson Stage 5
2016 election - turning point where I decided to get involved in civics, public service
Protested against gun violence after the Parkland shooting with the Princeton chapter of March for Our Lives
My first protest - Women's March on Washington after Trump was elected
Schools shut down for COVID - turning point in my HS journey
Had a Chem class w/ Dr. Barnes-Johnson in which she incorporated some aspects of social justice that encouraged me to follow that route
My 16th birthday - I started to really develop into who I feel I currently am starting here
I get into American Uni in DC (hopefully)
My grandfather passes away in Karachi - this affects me a lot as he was a major role model for me
I graduate from AmU, go into public service (mental health? music? sociology?)
I start to focus more on music, with a secondary focus also on mental health+aid
I break off from where I work, and start my own initiative to provide aid and mental healthcare/improve the system
This initiative becomes more widespread and I make efforts to implement it in more places
I move back to Maryland, close to my extended family
I start to explore cultural teaching and music education as a thing once I get older
A lot of people dismiss the initiative as too ambitious but I keep trying
I pass away (my bird and my cat never die; they're immortal)
