If I were to meet him now, I would ask him what he considered
the most important thing to do or keep in mind when composing- Immigrated to the United States, May 1918

did have an affair with Mira Mendelson, they did not divorce)

He spent the early years of his life in a rural village, which left an impression on him
He had a lifelong chess hobby
He composed a variety of different types of pieces, such as symphonies,
operas, overtures.- Prokofiev's first began learning piano at a very young age, inspired by his mother.
- His first piece was composed when he was five, "Indian Gallop"
- He wrote his first opera when he was nine years old, "The Giant", along with other pieces
He has composed around 179 pieces,
with some of his most famous being:
- The opera "A Love for Three Oranges"
- The song "Peter and the Wolf
- His ballet in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet"Prokofiev was often viewed as eccentric and arrogant, and
was consistently bored throughout his formal education
In order to relate myself to Prokofiev, I can look for the
similarities both between his and my method of playing, as
well as similarities between his compositions and the music
that I enjoy listening to
Possibly admiration for his role models, happiness with his
abilities as a composer, and sorrow for the impending war
and bloodshed that was going to /did affect his homelandProkofiev was unique in the sense that while his music was composed tonally,
it feels different from other such pieces
He attended the Saint Petersburg Conservatory in 1904, where he received a
thorough musical and academic education
His fame was acquired through his variety of compositions and notable operas
His musical development was influenced by his first piano teacher:
Reinhold Glière, a pianist and composer.
He performed in various countries rush as Russia, Europe, and the United States
