Hitler joins the German Workers Party. He begins to give speeches that start to improve his image as a public speaker
Hitler is discharged from the army. In the German Worker’s Party he undertakes responsibility for publicity and propaganda. He changes the party’s name to the National Socialist German Workers Party, or "NAZI"
Hitler challenges Anton Drexler to become leader of the Nazi party. After initial resistance, Drexler agrees and Hitler becomes the new leader of the party.
The Nazis plan a coup in order to take over the Bavarian government. This operation is stopped by the armed police and hitler is captured and imprisoned for treason. He spends 9 months in Landsberg prison.
