Allied forces requested help from Indonesian leaders

Surabya to negotiate a truce with Brigadier A.W.S Mallaby
After they left Surabaya however,
one place is still occupied
by Allied forces and crossfire ensues.
It ended with the killing of MallabyMajor General R.C. Manserg released
ultimatum for people of Surabaya
after the death of Mallaby and
demand the Indonesians to
surrender their firearms and
march with hands on their head.
They refused.First crossfired occured in Perak. General Manserg
mobilized one infantry division with 10000 to 15000 troops.
They are backed up with Mosquito and
Thunderbold fighters while Indonesians used
Machete, sharpened bamboo, etc.The battle claimed thousands
casualties from the people of Surabaya
The Indonesians honor the
struggle of Surabayans by
establishing 10 November as Heroes Day.
