Native Americans live in the Americas for a long, long time (over 1,000 years) before pilgrims arrive.
Many Pilgrims arrive to Patuxet Village. It is empty because most of the Native Americans had died from disease. The Pilgrims raid the empty houses and rob the graves for food and supplies. Squanto and the Wampanoag eventually help the pilgrims.
Many Europeans arrive and bring diseases killing off many Native Americans.
Wampanoag and Pilgrims come together for Autumn Harvest Festival. It is estimated that at least 90 Wampanoag and 50 Englishmen were present. This may be the inspiration for Thanksgiving, but it wasn't called Thanksgiving, and the tradition didn't continue.
War explodes between Native Americans and Europeans.
Pequot War breaks out, a major war between Native Americans and Europeans. Some Native Americans become slaves.
Indian Removal Act is signed, forcing Native Americans to move west of the Mississippi.
President Abraham Lincoln announces Thanksgiving Holiday.
The "Pilgrim & Indian" Thanksgiving story starts to become popular.
First "National Day of Mourning" held to remember the suffering of Native Americans.
