First automatic printer is created by Xerox. The printer that they developed was called 'The Copyflo'.
The world's first thermal transfer bar code printer.
ESPON launches the world's first miniprinter, the EP-101. It was incredibly small at a size of only 102 millimeters in height, and 135 millimeters in depth. And it only weighed 2.5 kilograms. This printer was useful because it could fit everywhere without taking up so much space on the desk on where ever it was being used.
