The Women's March on Versailles was overall caused by working women wanting change in several economic aspects such as the lowering of bread prices and increased pay as well as to get the King and Queen to stop sending troops. It resulted in fighting between the women and soldiers and led to the King and Queen being brought back to Paris to never see Versailles again.
