1 ene 1928 año - The case of Vertus Wellborn Hardiman
Descripción:
The parents of 10 children at the school were approached by the county hospital officials and were told that there was a new treatment for "ringworm." They were chosen because they were all Black and lived in such an isolated location. The children suffered severe burns from non-consensual radiation experiments. This case exemplifies how Black people, even including children, were subjected to extreme medical abuse, perpetuating distrust in healthcare and showing how racism allowed for such inhumane treatment.
