John Brown leads a slave revolt/raid on Harpers Ferry, and while not as many slaves joined as expected, the revolters captured important people and seized many weapons, but in the end, Brown and 6 people were captured, Brown was later tried and hanged, and 16 others were killed. The revolt heavily angered the South even more, yet another cause leading to the Civil War.
