On the evening of November 9, 1989, the Brandenburg Gate at the wall was opened in order to allow free movement between East & West. There were masses of people swarming over the wall, singing and dancing atop. People also attacked it hence the government ordered the rest of the wall down because of this popular uprising.Añadido al timeline:
