During the 1930s, Pollock did not have an amply amount of money and lived with his brother in Greeenwich Village, New York. Pollock was so desperate that he worked as a janitor and stole food to survive. But in 1932, he was invited to participate in the 8th Exhibition of Watercolors, Pastels and Drawings by American and French Artists at the Brooklyn Museum - his first exhibition.
