In October 2007, Citizens Advice Newcastle launched a new project in collaboration with the Royal British Legion, the RAF Benevolent Fund, and their umbrella organization, Cita. The project aims to provide a full-time Benefits and Money Advice Worker to support serving members of the armed forces, veterans, and their immediate families. Citizens Advice Newcastle developed a strong working relationship with the Royal British Legion County Office and planned to establish a service at the Albemarle Barracks, home to the 39 Regiment Royal Artillery, in the near future.
