Citizens Advice Newcastle has actively collaborated with local groups, MPs, the media, and Postwatch to advocate against the closure of local post offices, representing client concerns to the Post Office. Following this initiative, Citizens Advice Newcastle developed a local action guide for other Citizens Advice offices nationwide to assist in similar campaigns. Additionally, Citizens Advice Newcastle organised Tyne and Wear social policy group meetings, which are attended by social policy coordinators from regional Citizens Advice offices to address local issues related to consumer affairs, the Department for Work and Pensions, and Jobcentre services.
